33kV 100A High Voltage Fuse Cutout Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premier outdoor high voltage protective devices, impeccably designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. They play a vital role in shielding transformers or lines from short circuits, overloads, and managing on/off loading current efficiently. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is composed of robust insulators and fuse tubes, with static contacts secured on both ends of the insulator support and movable contacts affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is an intricate structure comprising an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Our Load Switching Fuse Cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring reliable switching of on-off loading currents.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link is securely tightened, holding the fuse tube in a closed position. When a fault arises, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, generating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas, creating high pressure and directing it along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during load conditions, an operator uses an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and the auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which is elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap while gas explosion occurs to extinguish the arc when the current crosses zero.
