11kV Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are meticulously engineered to provide high-performance outdoor solutions for high-voltage protection. These crucial components are integrally installed with the incoming feeder of a distribution transformer or lines, serving as a formidable defense for transformers and lines against short circuits and overloads. Beyond protection, they adeptly manage on/off loading and current flow. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout showcases a sturdy composition with insulative insulator supports and a resilient fuse tube. Secure static contacts are precisely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, with a moving contact expertly integrated at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is designed with an internal arc-extinguishing tube, encased in an outer shell crafted from either phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Enhanced functionality in the Load Switching Fuse Cutout is achieved through reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, efficiently managing on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link, meticulously secured in the fuse tube, maintains a steadfast closed position. In the event of a system fault, the ensuing fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an electric arc. This process rapidly heats the arc-extinguishing tube, triggering a gas surge that generates high-pressure to extinguish the arc within the tube. Upon the fuse link's melting, the moving contact loses its tension, locking the mechanism and causing the fuse tube to drop out, shifting to an open position. During a switch-off operation amid cutout loading, operators employ an insulating operating bar to skillfully manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain securely engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc is expertly drawn within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. Concurrently, the enclosure emits gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current nears zero.
