36kV Expulsion Load Break Fuse Cutout

Our Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are premium outdoor high-voltage protective devices, designed for seamless integration with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines. These cutouts are critical for safeguarding transformers or lines against short circuits, overloads, and controlling current during on/off loading. The Drop-out fuse cutout features robust insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely fixed on both sides and a dynamic moving contact at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube incorporates an advanced inside arc-extinguishing tube, enclosed by a durable outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an innovative arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring reliable on-off loading current switching.
During normal operations, the fuse link is tightly secured with the fuse tube, maintaining a closed position. Upon encountering a system fault, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant burst of gas and creating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, shifting the cutout to an open position. For load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the pull continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, generating an electric arc. This arc is lengthened within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, and simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero.
