Discover the Power High Voltage Current Limiting Polymer Drop Out Fuse Cutout, a marvel in electrical safety. Designed for Load Break Fuse systems between 33kv and 36kv with an impressive Creepage Distance of 1080mm.

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are essential outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuits, overloads, and enabling on/off load current operations. Comprised of insulate insulator supports and a robust fuse tube, the static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contacts are strategically placed at the ends of the fuse tube, which features an inside arc-extinguishing tube. The outer layer is made from durable phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient load current switching.
Under normal operation, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. When a fault occurs, the fault current melts the fuse instantaneously, triggering an electric arc. The arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a surge of gas that generates high pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, switching the cutout to an open position. For manual switch-off during load, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain in contact, but as the pull continues, the auxiliary contact separates, igniting an electric arc. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, ultimately being extinguished by the gas explosion as the current reaches zero.
