Introducing the drop-out and load switching fuse cutouts-a robust, high-voltage outdoor protective device meticulously designed to safeguard distribution transformers and lines by proficiently managing short circuits, overloads, and load currents. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution networks, this device is engineered for excellence. Comprising insulated supports, a fuse tube, and precision static and moving contacts, the structure ensures unparalleled reliability. The fuse tube features an advanced arc-extinguishing composition, utilizing either a phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Enhanced with auxiliary elastic contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, this fuse cutout is your ultimate solution for efficient load current management.
In normal operation, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a firmly closed position. Upon system faults, the resulting fault current instantly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to release high-pressure gases, effectively directing the arc along the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to disengage, transitioning the cutout to an open state. For load switching, operators utilize an insulating bar to manipulate the moving contact, initially engaging main and auxiliary contacts. During retraction, an electric arc forms between auxiliary contacts, which is strategically extended within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. Concurrently, explosive gases are released to efficiently extinguish the arc when the current reaches zero.
