33kV 100A High Voltage Fuse Cutout Switch

The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are premium outdoor high voltage protective devices, designed to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. These essential components are specifically engineered to safeguard transformers and lines from short circuits, overloads, and manage on/off loading currents. Crafted with precision, the drop-out fuse cutout features insulating supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are firmly affixed on both sides of the insulator support, while the moving contact is strategically installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself includes an internal arc-extinguishing component wrapped with an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with resilient elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure that efficiently handles on-off loading currents.
Under normal operation, the fuse link securely fastens the fuse tube, maintaining a closed position. Should a fault arise, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, leading to the creation of an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a significant volume of gas, generating high pressure that propels the arc through the tube. Upon the fuse link's melting, the moving contact loses its tensile strength, triggering the mechanism to disengage and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thereby shifting the cutout to an open position. When desiring to switch off under load, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected; however, as pulling continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, creating an electric arc. This arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, and the ensuing gas explosion extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
