24kV 100A 200A Distribution Dropout Fuse Cutout with Fuse Link
Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are meticulously crafted high-voltage protective devices for outdoor use. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they are the guardians against short circuits and overloads. These devices not only protect but also efficiently manage the on/off loading of current. The construction of the drop-out fuse cutout includes resilient insulated supports and a robust fuse tube, with static contacts securely installed on both sides of the support. The dynamic moving contact, positioned at the ends of the fuse tube, ensures operational precision. Within, the fuse tube boasts an advanced arc-extinguishing inner layer and a robust outer shell, made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, empowering it to handle switching with finesse.
During normal operation, the system's fuse link is securely fastened, ensuring a closed position. Should a fault arise, the system immediately responds as the fault current melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This triggers a rapid heating of the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a substantial volume of gas that creates high pressure to extinguish the arc. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its hold, the mechanism unlocks, and the fuse tube disengages, transitioning the cutout to an open position. When it becomes necessary to manually switch off during loading, an operator uses an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact disengages, an electric arc forms, which is expertly elongated in the arc-extinguishing enclosure. Here, specialized gases are released, extinguishing the arc as the current reaches zero.
