24kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch
Introducing our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, an essential outdoor high-voltage protective device. Expertly engineered to connect to the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, it excels in safeguarding against short circuits and overloads, while efficiently managing on/off loading current. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout features sturdy insulate insulator supports, a reliable fuse tube, and static contacts securely fastened on two sides of the insulator support. A precisely engineered moving contact is installed at the two ends of the fuse tube. The robust fuse tube comprises an interior arc-extinguishing tube, and an outer layer made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. Additionally, the load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure seamless switching of on-off loading currents.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link is taut, keeping the fuse tube securely in a closed position. Should a fault occur in the system, the fault current causes the fuse to melt, effectively creating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a burst of gas, producing high pressure and forcefully expelling the arc along the tube. As the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, causing the fuse tube to drop out, putting the cutout in an open state. When a manual switch-off is needed during cutout loading, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. As the pull progresses, the auxiliary contact separates, resulting in an electric arc that is elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing gas is released to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero.
