24kv Polymeric Expulsion Fuse Cut Out Switch
Introducing our advanced drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout, an outdoor high voltage protective masterpiece. Seamlessly connect these devices with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, ensuring top-tier protection from short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading and current. The drop-out fuse cutout features an insulating support structure coupled with a fuse tube, static contacts securely placed on each side, and a dynamic moving contact at the tube's ends. The fuse tube itself boasts an internal arc-extinguishing mechanism, encased in a robust outer phenolic compound or epoxy glass. Our load switching fuse cutout further enhances performance with resilient elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, optimizing the switching of on-off loading current.
During normal operations, the fuse link tightens the fuse tube into a secure closed position. Upon any system faults, the resultant fault current promptly melts the fuse, initiating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, triggering a rapid gas release that generates high pressure, effectively directing the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during load, operators use an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged, but as the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms and elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, effectively extinguishing it as the current passes zero.
