Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Introducing our premium Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, the quintessential high-voltage protective solution for outdoor use. These devices are expertly designed to connect with the incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines. Their primary function is to safeguard transformers or lines from potential short circuits and overloads while managing on/off load currents seamlessly. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises an insulated support structure and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely mounted on both sides of the insulator support, and a mobile contact is precisely positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself boasts an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a durable phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. For enhanced functionality, the load switching fuse cutout includes enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, enabling efficient current management.
Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link securely fastens the fuse tube, maintaining the cutout in a closed position. When a fault occurs in the system, the fault current promptly causes the fuse to melt, generating an electric arc. This subsequently heats the arc-extinguishing tube, producing an expulsion of gas that results in high pressure and directs the arc down the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its fastening strength, and the mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thus leaving the cutout in an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators can utilize an insulating operating bar to withdraw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc is formed between them, which elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing system releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero, ensuring a smooth disconnection.
