Silicone Rubber Polymer Drop Out Fuse Switch

Our Drop-out Fuse Cutouts and Load Switching Fuse Cutouts are robust, high-voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. They are strategically crafted to be installed with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, serving as a vital shield against short circuits, overloads, and managing the on/off loading of currents. Each Drop-out Fuse Cutout is ingeniously constructed with insulating supports and a fuse tube, complemented by static contacts affixed on both sides of the insulator support, and a moving contact located at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube, an innovative piece, boasts an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Our Load Switching Fuse Cutout stands out with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and a sophisticated arc-extinguishing enclosure to seamlessly switch on or off loading currents.
During regular operations, the fuse link is securely fastened, keeping the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon fault occurrence, the fault current promptly melts the fuse link and initiates an electric arc, heating and causing the arc-extinguishing tube to release a slew of gases. This triggers high pressure, propelling the arc through the fuse tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For interrupting load current, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged until further action separates them, causing an electric arc between auxiliary contacts. The arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, while gases work to extinguish it as the current approaches zero.
