Discover the superior functionality of our Drop-Out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout, exceptional outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed for seamless integration with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines. These devices are engineered to shield transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads, ensuring reliable on/off loading and current control. The innovative Drop-Out Fuse Cutout comprises robust insulate insulator supports and a precision-engineered fuse tube. Static contacts are securely anchored on insulator supports, while the dynamic contact is expertly positioned on the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube features a cutting-edge inside arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a durable outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout is enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an advanced arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off loading current management.
During normal operation, the fuse link securely fastens the fuse tube in a closed position. Upon fault occurrence, the fault current instantly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This phenomenon heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a surge of gas that creates significant pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, signaling an open position for the cutout. For switch-off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As the operator pulls, the auxiliary contacts separate, producing an electric arc that elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the enclosure emits gas that extinguishes the arc as the current passes through zero.
