Outdoor Porcelain Ceramic Drop-out Fuse Cutout for Electric Power Transformer

Our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout stand as essential high-voltage protective devices designed for outdoor use. Seamlessly integrating with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, these devices offer robust protection against short circuits and overloads, whilst managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports paired with a fuse tube; static contacts affixed to the insulator ends, with a dynamic contact at the fuse tube's extremities. The innovative fuse tube comprises an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in a resilient phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off load current management.
Under normal operating conditions with the fuse link securely fastened, the fuse tube assumes a closed position. However, in the event of a fault, the resultant fault current melts the fuse link, creating an electric arc that triggers the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and emit a significant volume of gas, building high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its fixed strength, causing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, shifting the cutout to an open position. To manually switch off the load, the operator employs an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged, but as the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms. This arc is lengthened in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, simultaneously blasted by gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes zero, ensuring safe operation.
