Experience the ultimate in electrical protection with our drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout, expertly designed for outdoor high voltage applications. Seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, these devices are crucial in safeguarding transformers or lines from short circuits and overloads. They also facilitate on/off loading current. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously crafted with insulating supports and a durable fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on the insulator supports' two sides, while the moving contact is expertly mounted at the fuse tube's ends. Inside, the tube boasts a sophisticated arc-extinguishing mechanism with phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass on the exterior. The load switching fuse cutout enhances functionality with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off loading current handling.
In standard operation, a tightened fuse link keeps the fuse tube in a secure closed position. When the system encounters faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, igniting an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas. This generates high pressure, directing the arc through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. For switching off during loading, operators can utilize an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms and elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. Simultaneously, explosive gases extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
